Judge

A judge is a public official authorized to decide questions brought before a court.


Courtroom Clerk

A court clerk keeps all the papers about the cases in the court and organizes them. The clerk keeps track of the decisions or orders that the judge makes during court and also keeps the court's schedule.

Court Reporter  

Courtroom Reporter

The court reporter is the person who writes down everything that everybody says in court. The court reporter usually sits near the judge and types what’s being said onto a special transcription machine.

 


Jury

A jury is a group of citizens picked according to law. In some trials, juries hear the evidence and reach an agreement that decides a case.
